Grade 5: Speaking Out

Grade 11 student Hannah S. continued her work around public speaking and writing with Grade 5.

This week’s activity in Grade 5’s public speaking unit. They prepared a speech about what ice cream they would be, while enjoying an ice cream treat.

Valentines for Meals on Wheels 

For over 10 years, our Primary and K classes have created valentines for Meals on Wheels to distribute to their clients as a service project. This year over 1,000 pieces of art from the heart will be shared across Monroe County.

Heroic Storytelling

From Grade 7/8 English teacher, Tierney McKee:

My Grade 8 students are creating fairy tales using “The Hollow Woods” myriorama cards. They must employ an element from each of their selected cards, and their story must follow a heroic pattern.
