Physics can be hair-raising!

When the Van de Graaff generator starts charging, it transfers the charge to the person who is touching it. Since the person’s hair follicles are getting charged to the same potential, they try to repel each other. This is why students’ hair actually stands up!

Middle School Art: Skill and Concentration

Drawing is a good opportunity to hone not only one’s pencil to paper skills, but also one’s focus.

Blind contour drawing is a drawing exercise, where an artist draws the contour of a subject without looking at the paper, then tracks the edge of the object with their eyes, while simultaneously drawing the contour.

Café Français in Action

Grade 4 students practiced their French-speaking skills while serving a delicious breakfast to parents, faculty, and other Lower School students.
