Bike Camp: (Full Day)

From our base at Harley, we will cycle to some of the most beautiful and interesting places in the Rochester area. We will use the Erie Canal Towpath, the Genesee River Trail, and other area trails to explore local historic sites and enjoy the region’s natural beauty. Led by Harley history teacher Doug Gilbert, this camp will emphasize biking fun and safety, but also include stories of Rochester’s fascinating past. Campers will need to bring their own fully functional bike, which will be kept at Harley for the week, a water bottle, snack, lunch, and helmet. Note: This is not an introduction to cycling. It is for experienced cyclists. In past years, some campers have struggled to keep up with the pace and distance of a 20–30 mile daily ride. Please carefully consider the fitness of your child and the availability of a good bike in signing up for this camp. Please bring water and lunch/snacks.  *Please note that this camp runs 8:30 am–3:30 pm
