The first few meetings of Robotics allowed the students to get to know each other, as well as to meet their new teacher, Kima Enerson. As the Project Space evolves over Tri I to house Maker Ed courses, Robotics, and a future teaching kitchen, it was important to also get the lay of the land in terms of where materials were located and how to clean up the space. Before fully diving into the assigned challenge for the robotics competition, the students first learned the basics of programming by playing with Dash and Dot and Sphero robots borrowed from the MS Technology Lab. The class has recently grown in numbers and in facility, so watch out for what they will accomplish in the next few months!
