A new addition to the science department is Mrs. Fine, who teaches chemistry (as well as AP and honors) and has been teaching for 20 years. She previously taught at Our Lady of Mercy High School and was drawn to Harley searching for something new and different. Her mom was a chemist and her older sister Amy is an environmental chemist, and she found the way that they explained chemistry fascinating.
She cares a lot about her students, is willing to come up with creative ways to help students learn, and is very patient with them. She is excited to be teaching boys, as Mercy is an all-girls school. New opportunities like this are what drew Mrs. Fine to Harley.
